THE HAPPINESS CHALLENGE

Take the Happiness Challenge

Happiness is not trivial. Happy people make better decisions faster and are more productive than people who are neutral or stressed when they take on the same task. The good news? In just 21 days you can rewire your brain for happiness! Watch Shawn Achor describe his work in positive psychology in a very funny 12-minute Ted Talk: The happy secret to better work.

At the end of the talk he describes activities that research shows will produce a happier brain if practiced for at least 21 days: gratitude, journaling, exercise, meditation, and random acts of kindness. Choose one and track the days spent doing the task to make sure you complete at least 21. If you miss a day, that’s okay... just start again the next day. After 21 days, submit your reflection (i.e., process note) to complete this act.
